South Africa-based Ugandan evangelist, Apostle Paul Kamba, succumbed to gun shot injuries inflicted upon him by (3) armed thugs who attacked Destiny Midwives Christian Centre (DMCC) in Edenvale, a town on the East Rand in Gauteng on Sunday morning.
Apostle Kamba, who was rushed to hospital after the attack, was confirmed dead on Monday, leaving behind his wife, Mrs Kamba and four children, a boy and three girls, Charissa, Faith, Gabriel and Favour.
Kamba was the senior pastor of Destiny Midwives Christian Centre (DMCC) in Edenvale, South Africa.
DMCC said in a press statement that the Apostle was shot at 10 am during an attempted robbery within the Church premises.
As UG Christian News reported yesterday, Mr Solomon Izang Ashoms, an activist and Johannesburg correspondent at BBC World Service said witnesses at the scene claimed that three men entered the church, went to Apostle Paul Kamba’s office, shot him and fled the scene.
“It’s unknown currently why this took place and police is not ruling out possible business robbery.” he said.
Sources have said preparations are being made to have the remains of Apostle Kamba returned back to Uganda and burial is set to take place in Bugweri, Iganga district.
