Apostle Paul Kamba, the senior pastor of Destiny Midwives Christian Centre (DMCC) in Edenvale, a town on the East Rand in Gauteng, South Africa has been attacked and shot at by armed thugs on Sunday.

DMCC through a press statement said, the Apostle was shot at 10 am during an attempted robbery within the Church premises.

The preacher of over 10 years was rushed to hospital, where he is receiving treatment.

“We urge you to please stand with us in prayer as we continue to pray for the man of God,” the statement read in part.

According Solomon Izang Ashoms, an activist and Johannesburg correspondent at BBC World Service, witnesses at the scene claim that three men entered the church, went to Apostle Paul Kamba’s office, shot him and fled the scene.

“It’s unknown currently why this took place and police is not ruling out possible business robbery.” he said.

“A case off murder has been opened. Community members are suspecting a hit,” according to Apostle Happy Herbs Hlwempu, Overseer of Shield of Faith Ministries International – South Africa.

“This isn’t good at all,” Franklin Mondo Mugisha, Lead pastor at Empowerment Christian Prayer Center International said.

Apostle Paul Kamba is a graduate of Makerere University – Kampala with an Honors Degree in Arts.

He is married to Mrs Kamba and the two have four children, a boy and three girls, Charissa, Faith, Gabriel and Favour. He has served and was mentored by Apostle Martin Ssuna of World Harvest International Church-Nairobi Kenya.

The Ministry website says he has traveled in many countries around the world conducting prayer revivals, miracle Healing Campaigns and teaching in conferences.

Apostle Paul is author of Four books; The Power of PUSH, Glory Dimension, Birthing Your Destiny and Prayer Arrows.

He was also co-founder of ‘The senior Midwife Foundation,’ a Christian charity organisation dedicated
to providing a platform for individuals to fulfill their divine destinies by tackling poverty, lack of resources and promoting skills development and enhancement.
