Zambian gospel artist Abel Chungu Musuka has dismissed allegations that he was arrested at Los Angeles Airport with 20kg of Cocaine.
Over the weekend, a spam online blog, USATODAY published an article accusing the singer to have been a drug dealer since 2014. The Site additionally reported that the ‘Ichitemwiko’ hit singer nearly survived bullets during the arrest.
Abel was one of the gospel music acts under Lota House that performed at Kati Kati grounds on August 12th, during the Born Free concert organised by The Usual Suspect alongside Power 104.1 FM.
He has released a statement dismissing the allegations, noting that he will keep thanking God through every situation.
A Lot of friends and family were calling and texting me over an article claiming I’ve been arrested in Los Angeles attempting to smuggle drugs. Obviously this is not true and I’ve been enjoying the Zambian sun this whole week. I however do know the worry this may cause to those who care about me and my music and do know that serious action will be taken. Nonetheless i’ll keep thanking God through every situation and keep doing what God called me for. God bless, he wrote.
