In a bid to reach more communities in Uganda with the Gospel, and make disciples of all nations, Worship Harvest Ministries has planted 8 more Churches across the country.
From hosting services on the balcony of the then Al Fiesta restaurant, Lumumba Avenue in 2006, to now having over 40 church locations across the nation and globe, this ministry led by Apostle Moses Mukisa aims at planting 1000 life giving churches by 2040 and over 10,000 missional communities.
In a statement, Apostle Mukisa revealed that the new church locations are in the areas of Mukono, Kayunga, Bulondo, Lyantonde, Busiika, Kabale et al.
“Our winning strategy is to plant 1000 churches, by having every two churches plant one every two years, have a Missional Community for every thirty attendees, and have every Missional Community engage a frontier at least once a month,” the ministry says.
It was in 2005 when the ministry leaders got the conviction that Worship Harvest should become a Church plant, reports show.
“We didn’t know what we were doing, but we trusted God, and in 2006 we launched the Church, with the name House of Praise at the then Al Fiesta restaurant, Lumumba Avenue. Later, we got back to calling it Worship Harvest,” Apostle Moses Mukisa stated in 2019.
“When we started, the idea was to survive the first few weeks because everyone said are not going to make it. But now to see that we have 13, 14 locations, going on 15 – and planning on 1000 locations – the idea of the possibilities really excites me,” Moses Mukisa added that time.
Through Harvest Institute and Transform (the leaders gathering), Pastor Moses Mukisa believes Worship Harvest is very intensional about creating a high leadership culture across the globe.
“We are taking the limits off what people could become, or do when they walk with God in these wings of Worship Harvest,” Mukisa said.
