More than 343,421 people worldwide have been infected with the deadly, novel coronavirus which began in Wuhan City, China in late December 2019.
In Mozambique where health officials confirmed the first COVID-19 death on Monday, hundreds of children united in prayer, asking God to stop the pandemic.
The spirit-filled youngsters authoritatively interceded for one country after the other, with their hands on a world map.
God TV, an international Christian media network, reported on 23 March, 2020 that the initiative greatly encouraged thousands to pray amidst what is happening in the world today.
Some even stood in tears while interceding, the news source explained.
According to Bibliatodo News , these children are from the missionary project Kutsemba Ka Africa (Believe in Africa) in Gumbane, Mozambique.
It is a faith-based initiative association “that provides assistance to children and people in need.” And Celia Mendes, the woman who shared the report, is leading the project. For 17 years, she has been a missionary in Mozambique, according to God TV.
Kutsemba Ka Africa project partnered with the district school to help the struggling children, according to God TV, they feed hundreds of them after their regular classes. And most importantly, they teach these children the Word of God.
“We educate children about the coronavirus and mention the countries that are being affected by the virus. These children are already used to praying. They know God at that level and are prayer warriors. They embraced the cause, prayed, and cried,” Celia Mendes explained to media.
