For more than 2,000 years, the church has stood for truth. Whether we call it evangelism, spreading the Good News, or discipleship, one of the church’s main objectives is to share the Gospel.
Certainly, our opinion should be based on biblical principles and these always stand relevant to all issues prevailing in Uganda every day. For all Christians, in which ever place of authority you stand, your declaration should be that the church remains free to share the gospel.
As society fails to uphold the sanctity of life in all its stages, attempts to redefine marriage, and takes away our religious freedom, we must stand together.
More media reports continue to display Church as dirt but, you should understand that the enemy has an image that he needs the lost souls to perceive of us and he is steadily gaining ground.
Jesus didn’t pray the earth into existence. He simply said. So if you look at the world and whatever is in it and wonder, say something, do something. Words are the simplest yet the most powerful weapon.
When we stay silent about politics, injustices, bills in parliament, social evil like homosexuality, not everyone that comes to church has a straight mind, some are in sexual pervasiveness and they are here for healing.
Silence does not ensure our safely as you might perceive it to be. You are not ministering to perfect beings, many come to church for answers on what transpires in society every day. We need be stay relevant.
Like in the recent article by Christianity Post on a Franklin Graham Interview, he urged Christians to vote for ‘least heathen’ candidate as their presidential elections draw close.
For all Christians, it is not a question of where you pray from. While there may be differences among, we must speak out as one voice on these key issues. After all, the church is strongest when we are united. The oneness of the church is to be a mirror of the oneness of the trinity.
