Gospel ministers Hawa Mawa and Ivan T.I.T. will headline this month’s edition of the Voom Music Concert, slated for the 25th March, 2022 at The City Church Luzira.

Addressing journalists on Wednesday, the event organisers explained that through initiatives of this kind, they provide gospel musicians with opportunities to express themselves better through music on stage, in rehearsal rooms and in recording studios, regardless of age, background or race .

Voom Music Concert episodes started in 2018. The event is managed by Backyard, a music label known for recording, managing artists, producing music videos and films not leaving out events management. This year alone, they intend to host about 10 concerts.

“We are excited to host another season of the Voom concert especially now that it’s in person,” said Ms Fionah Kidaha, from The City Church Luzira.

She went on, “The City Church is a bible believing church that has existed for over 10 Years. We are part of the Community Churches and Pr Kasirivu from Gabba Community Church is our spiritual father. We exist as a City Church because we are here to disciple and empower people for transformation and that is who we are. We guarantee security, parking and lots of space for the Voom concert.”

Hawa Mawa, know for songs including “Yesu Ye Answer”, “Nzuno” told media reporters guests at the concert will have a “supernatural” experience.

“I’m a gospel artiste, a mother and a wife. This experience is going to be supernatural as it’s not something you can explain but rather feel hence I encourage you all to come on Friday. My music is not only for entertainment but it is divine, flowing with healing and deliverance,” Hawa Mawa said.

Original name Kigongo Ivan Muhumuza, singer Ivan T.I.T explained that he is fully set for the concert. The music minister came to the lime light following the release of “Yesu ndi wuwo”, featuring Apostle Grace Lubega of Phaneroo Ministries International.

“I thank Voom for this platform. I am ready. I am a worshipper and a gospel minister ready for everything that’s going to happen on Friday,” he said.

“Hawa and Ivan were our first pick for the Voom concert because of the uniqueness of what [the event] is about. Their music appeals to a certain market and most times we do shows and leave a certain crowd like the inter corporate crowd and those just want to enjoy a live band experience and have a good time. That’s the crowd we want to appeal to for our first episode. Ivan and Hawa being great live performers, it’s great to start with our best foot forward but as well give you the best of best,” the organisers said.

Admission to the 5:00 PM event is Ush20,000 per head.
