Aside from our friends and up-and-coming beauty experts, the reason we stay glued to our Instagram feed is to follow up Uganda’s most favorite gospel artists. Getting a sneak peek into their fabulous lives — not to mention their beauty routines.
Scrolling through, we came across this photo of a face that did look familiar but not quite comprehensible. We could not scroll onwards. It was after a few minutes of wholehearted scrutiny that we got to know that it was in point of fact the renowned Forward, Simple life hit maker – Robinsan.
Well, with all due tamed excitement, born 1987, Tumuhairwe Robert aka Robinsan gave his hair an appealing makeover, switching his dread strands for a gorgeous fringe hair style. Although a few of his supporters will miss the dreads, his new rich look suits him just so well. Reactions from ladies, one Joan Eyojojo commented saying, “Totally love it…”
Getting to him just after studio, Robinsan spoke to our reporter about the new look in which he loudly declared, “2016 – New Year, New music, New fashion!”
“I am rebranding. 2015 was about ‘Simple Life’, 2016, is all about ‘Next Level’. I am pretty excited about 2016. You will hear new sounds from me this time. Everything will be different.” He further noted that Next level is the title of his new album that includes the fresh single; Jangu Nkulage which was released this week on Wednesday.
Unlike any other album he has released, Next level will include a number of collaborations with national and international artists like Ruyonga among others.
He further revealed on social media that, “My life isn’t a golden street walk or a bed of roses rather a combination of struggles and a couple of fights that I had to go through to be where I am this day, and so Jangu Nkulage is a sensational tune calling you out to come and discover with me this mystery of what I can in brief call the love of God. Enjoy this song and make sure you part away with a message in the name of Jesus.”
Jangu Nkulage is massively playing on different radio stations and the latest we have is that this truck already hit the ninth position of the DaDrive show countdown – spirit FM 96.6.
About getting the dreads back on? Robinsan said that it could be, either way, it will all happen as God inspires him on what to do. He also affirmed that he did not cut off his hair as many supposed..mmmh What greater was to begin 2016!
