Kampala City Council Authority Executive Director, Jennifer S. Musisi on Sunday received 10 million shillings from Watoto Church to help rehabilitate KCCA schools.
This was from ‘My Miracle Offering,’ an annual sacrificial giving campaign conducted at all Watoto Church celebration points.
According to a recent statement issued by the Church, ‘My Miracle Offering’ seeks to meet the ministry, community critical needs, as well as supporting God’s work among other churches.
While receiving the dummy cheque with her team, Ms Musisi applauded Watoto Church, for partnering with KCCA to boost the education sector.
KCCA recently estimated that it requires close to sh450b to have all its primary schools fully renovated.
“We need partners to help us overcome the challenges which our schools are currently facing. We need billions close to sh450bn,” Ms Musisi explained.
This development comes weeks since the Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, commended the same Ministry for its financial contribution towards completing Janani Luwum Church House.
“Jesus lives through his local church and My Miracle Offering is not just about money. It’s about winning souls for Christ and caring for those who are lost and hurting in community,” earlier remarked Edward Mwesigye, a Pastor at Watoto Church.
Other churches and partner organisations that have benefited from the Miracle Offering include Christian Life Church in Burundi, Masaka Pentecostal Church and the Pentecostal Assemblies of God, Canada.
