Mrs Suzan Nsubuga, a USA based Ugandan missionary and founder of The Master’s Vineyard Ministry has died in a road accident on her trip to visit her cousin in California.
Rev. John B. Katende who is based in Boston, Massachusetts together with Mr Kisenyi Jonah Kelley who serves with ‘Youth With A Mission’ confirmed Mrs Nsubuga’s passing on Saturday.
The late founded The Master’s Vineyard Ministry, an International Christian organization committed and dedicated to planning, developing, and establishing churches, education centers, community, and economic projects in third world countries.
Susan’s vision of the ministry was founded in 2008 as a life-long commitment to the Karimojong people in the north-east of Uganda. She had a dream that Karimojong people will rise to the occasion, becoming a self-reliant people, filled with hope for tomorrow; a hope that will transform into social, physical, spiritual and economic aspect of their lives and the rest of Uganda.
Rev. John B. Katende said Mrs Nsubuga’s work stretch as far as South Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi and D.R.Congo.
This year, her ministry was providing education to 890 students in 3 different schools. Grace Christian Academy – Isohe primary has 340 students from kindergarten to 4th grade. Grace Christian Academy – Kapoeta has 550 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. They have 26 teachers and 10 supportive staff.
In October last year, Mrs Nsubuga had announced plans to build a church for the Karimajong people.
“Its a joy to witness men and women come to know Jesus through evangelism , Jesus Film, and discipleship. Partner with us to build Grace Chapel to serve community on a weekly basis,” a statement released by her ministry read then.
