Imagine walking into a country to share the gospel and seeing thousands of people come to know Christ as their Savior.
That is exactly what happened when Pastor Diana Mwebe landed in Zambia on 18th October, 2021 together with her team.
The wife to Gerald Mwebe, the senior Pastor of Streams of Life Church, revealed in an update Tuesday that during her mission trip to the country where her team engaged in one-on-one soul winning, six (6) churches and fellowships were “trained and fired up to evangelise.”
“We leave Zambia with very grateful hearts for what the Lord has done in and through us. 1855 souls and 6 churches and fellowships trained and fired up to evangelise,” she said in a statement Tuesday.
“After training the medical students fellowship in evangelism along with practicals, so much Grace fell on their church that the attendance drastically went up and they even had to scramble for parking space this past Sunday,” she said. “All Glory goes to God alone.”
According to Pastor Diana, with the young generation being convinced “that hell is a club full of fun, and that heaven is boring,” the body of Church needs to get “very aggressive” with spreading the truth of God’s Word.
The preacher connected with the body of Christ on-ground who coordinated their evangelism efforts in various universities including Sunningdale University and Lusaka University, communities and villages. The locals they worked with were integral in reaching the lost.
In his recent sermon aimed at encouraging Christians to take part in the great commission, Pastor Diana’s husband explained that in “whatever area God has placed you, preach.”
“The enemy has deceived our young people so much that at this point they believe wickedness is cool. Many now think doing drugs and drinking is stylish and sleeping around is trendy, overlooking all the dangers. It’s because the enemy has planted lies in their innocent minds at a young age just to destroy them,” Pastor Gerald Mwebe said.
“Friends, in whatever area God has placed you, preach. If you are a parent or God has given you the opportunity of having children and teenagers in your care, show them Christ. Don’t assume they know, teach them, be intentional. Most of our young people drift away because they are looking for an opportunity to be loved and accepted. You can preach to them by loving them and encouraging them through their life journey,” he added.
