I am born again and I belong to Jesus. But this does not mean that I shall not go through trials of poverty, death, humiliation, grief and even famine. It is heresy to think and teach like that concerning our new life.
Believers today fear trials, so they want a life of constant euphoria and they interpret anything less as the devil. They fear suffering, so they look for a life of ease, and deception traps them. They fear failure, so they resist the cross, thinking cross means failure.
They fear unhappiness so they dream of constant pleasure and won’t understand patience. They fear truth so they settle for a lie. But I have come to understand that in Christ, my life is not determined by the condition of my finances, my body, my house, my car or my external circumstances.
His will for me has become the source of my life, my fulfillment and my victory. I know I am free from the control of fear when I am not afraid to declare; “Not my will but yours be done”.
