Power 104.1 FM has in partnership with Watoto Church organised a national youth gospel event dubbed ‘Time-Out’.
The stations has announced that this will be the biggest youth event of the year, slated for 20th May, 2016 at Watoto Church downtown from 11am to 6pm
Since cancelling Phat-fest, a formerly annual musical concert that begun with the celebration of Power FM’s 10 years, the station’s listeners have been passionately waiting for what would be communicated next for this year.
Here we have it! The aim of Time-Out, scheduled to be the first of its kind in Uganda, is to bring together youth, including high school leavers and form S1-S6’s, from all walks of life to chill out after a full term of hard work.
The event will be graced by almost every top flight gospel artiste in the region including, Ruyonga, Holy Keane, Robinsan and Zabuli. One thing that stands out, and that has kept me busy around town is the event dress code – accident geans!
No Excuse, I will have to create my own damaged Jeans for this. Our expectations are to the peak.
For youth, having fun together creates community, it creates love. Laughing, being oneself, making memories… those things are absolutely vital to creating a strong Christian community.
They force us to let down our guards, give us common ground, build trust, and make us feel one.
Organizers of the event have announced several other activities that will be summed up with a powerful message from the event’s invited speakers.
