What is a mountain in a believer’s life? A mountain is anything that is a barrier to you completing God’s Will. A mountain is anything that is slowing down or impeding your progress in the Kingdom of God.
Speaking about overcoming speed breakers in life, Dr Godfrey Kamese, the founder of Praise Ministries and senior Pastor of Praise Cathedral located along Kiwatule road, Ntinda in Kampala said on sunday that for every Christian, there are certain force that works contrary to their progress everyday.
He used his sermon to draw believer’s attention to winds of opposition that retard progress and swift flow of life connections and missions.
“Such winds come in tsunami proportions. When they hit, they make you start all over again. They do not care how established you are. They take you back to level one.” He said, illustrating this with Job 1:19, where a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house in which Job’s Children were.
“There is a wind called the wind of opposition, we have the wind of persecution and the wind of confusion… When you experience this wind of confusion, you often say it your self, “I don’t know what to do.” This wind comes to scatter and bring perplexity. However, this is the last time such winds snutch our opportunities, finances and perfect health.” He told the congregation, with further reference to Genesis 11:7.
When faced with such speed retarders, many believers spend time lamenting, announcing the impossibility the mountain is in their life.
Dr Godfrey encouraged the christians saying through Jesus Christ any mountain and wind of opposition can be moved.
“When Jesus constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, Mark 6: 48 says, “And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them – It wanted to stop the disciples from progress – and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.”
“Verse 51 says, “And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased” – Jesus stepped into the boat, and the wind left before He said a word.” Dr Godfrey said.
He declared a seven-fold restoration of every promotion, financial opportunity, health report and connection this wind had taken from the believers, commanding every attack of the enemy to be reversed in supersonic proportions.
The Church is in preparation for a mega conference that will run under the theme “3G’s – From Grass to Grace to Glory. ” This conference will commence on 14th and end 18th November, 2016 at Praise Cathedral.
