Church history reveals there has been much wrangling and even harsh divisions over who is in charge. Many-times we are tempted to be bosses of the Church, leading by carnality and not allowing God’s divine presence influence our choices, response, attitude, and actions.

Robert Kayanja, senior Pastor of Miracle Centre Cathedral teaches through his new book  titled ‘The Holy Spirit’ that when we lovingly submit to Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth, the Church will thrive and soar higher.

With simple actions life greeting the Holy Spirit in the morning, the Pr Robert reveals that according to God’s Word, there is a clear distinction between Christians that have let the Holy Spirit be in-charge and those that have not.

The first thing you have to do is learn how to greet and recognise His presence in the same manner we
recognize those of honor around us.

When we say ‘hello guys,’ the Holy Spirit too is a person who needs your hello. Without telling Him ‘hello,’ you have no tomorrow in His presence. So we must learn how to ‘hello’ the Holy Spirit in all our situations and dealings. One must learn how to recognise Him.

If you don’t greet or receive Him, if you don’t appreciate or celebrate Him, he is not going to move an inch to support or help you out of any wanting and gruesome situation you may be caught in.

By recognizing that He does exist, that He is alive, that He is a person and that He has emotions. The Holy
Spirit may burn like fire but He is not fire. He may cool down like ice but He is not ice and although He can
be smooth like the oil, yet He is not oil. These are just forms of His manifestation.

So, He wants to be listened to and when you greet Him, expect His response just the same as when you talk to Him. When you ask help of Him, He’s expecting your appreciation. When He does what you’re not expecting,

He expects your applause. So learn how and when to say hello and show a heart of gratitude and appreciation
for his goodness to us.

Those who develop a habit of pleasing the Holy Spirit have found themselves soaring higher.

Scripture teaches us that unless two agree, they cannot work or move together Amos 3:3 “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Agreeing with the Holy Spirit is mandatory if we are to succeed in anything.

When the angel came, to the shepherds after Jesus was born, he greeted them. Some of us have grown up in societies where we were never taught how to greet those we meet or are around us.

So,even when we come to church, we find it difficult to greet an invisible God-the Holy Spirit, and yet He is the boss of the Church.
