Christians across the country are mourning the loss of two Pastors; Benon May Kawaala of Healing Outreach Ministries International and Marvin Trinity Kamoga of Perfect Love Ministries Inc who have passed on this week.
Pastor Benon Kawaala’s death was confirmed Friday morning by relatives and friends based in the city of Boston, Massachusetts where the preacher established his ministry.
The fire-brand Preacher and Pastor died after suffering acute kidney failure at Boston Medical Center.
He was married to Mrs. May Kawaala and together they helped to pioneer various fellowships in Boston.
“Our Massachusetts Community has lost a leader, a Pastor and Friend to many. RIP Pastor Kawaala your humor, sermons and teachings will be dearly missed.” Ugandans in the diaspora said in a statement.
The late was brother to Deborah N Kisakye, a renowned gospel minister.
According to reports, 70% of the Born again Christian Churches in Boston were fathered by Pastor Kawaala. He was married thirty years, and had four grown children.
On the other hand, Pr Marvin Trinity Kamoga died days after a gospel mission.
The former radio presenter on Capital Fm Uganda and Record Television was found unresponsive at his home on Thursday morning.
Lead pastor at Miracle City Church Makindye, Yasin Lukwago confirmed this report, and was however quick to note that the official cause of Pastor Kamoga’s death has not yet been established.
Through Perfect Love Ministries Inc located at Seguku on Entebbe Road, Pr Kamoga had started Trigod Foundation so as to cater for over 150 orphans and raise them to become leaders willing to create positive change for the good of their communities.
Spirit 96.6 FM show host Natal D described the father of two as someone who considered his relationship with Christ in high regard.
“Years before I knew Wesley King, I was working/hosting Gospel Night, touring school after school with Marvin Trinity Kamoga. It was quite fun being hot and warm at the same time. Go preach and later pass by the clubs til when this man (Marvin) woke up one morning and told us he was done with that mediocre way of living – When I later redefined my life, it all made sense what you had been preaching to us about being more like Christ,” Natal D remarked.
UG Christian News was informed that Pr Kamoga body will be laid to rest today (15th June) at Kiwenda, Gayaza-Zirobwe road.
This website will report more on when Benon May Kawaala remains are expected in the country, and where the burial will take place.
