Bible society of Uganda has held a sensitization seminar in Mukono district focusing on the importance of Bible literacy, presented with an emphasis on personal preparation and Holy Spirit guided conversations.
This seminar organised Tuesday brought together Clergy, Sunday school teachers, Youth leaders and Youth workers of Mukono Diocese, Church of Uganda.
During his speech, Mr. Simon Peter Mukhama, the chief Executive officer and General Secretary of Bible society of Uganda showcased the relevancy of bible history.
He was joined by fellow staff from Bible society of Uganda that included Mr. Justus Rubarema Programs Manager, M/s Ruth Ikiriza Membership support officer, Ms Clare Busingye The Donar relations Officer, Kembabazi Genevieve Kisaka the Youth and Media assistant and Medson Mugewa the youth and Media officer.
Sunday school teachers were advised to adapt simple, practical and step-by-step method for developing and teaching Bible studies that change hearts and transform lives.
The listeners were told that time with God through reading the Bible helps strengthen ground in biblical doctrine, prayer.
Mukono Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. William James Ssebaggala who hosted the team appreciated them for the initiative of bringing the Bible close to people with no discrimination.
