Christian students at Kyambogo University are taking responsibility to humbly pray to God on behalf of their institution.
Several assembled and walked across the government-aided institution in fervent prayer ahead of its official opening for semester two this week.
The prayer movement, described as a ‘prophetic prayer walk’, was attended by the Chaplain at St. Kakumba Chapel, Kyambogo, Mr Emmanuel Mwesigwa.
The warriors aimed at pulling down evil strong holds, dedicating the new semester, university staff and students to the Lord.
“Let us continue to pray for the University so that peace may reign through out the semester,” the Chapel management said.
Despite significant growth over the years, many have witnessed a significant negative spiritual pathway disrupting and bringing chaos at the institution. This has been reported in various officers both at the top and lower management levels.
This band of prayer warriors agreed to pray through scriptures to see the institution changed, moving from one location to another – even the Senate building. As the occasion came to an end, they agreed to believe in faith that God’s hand will move.
Atuheire Phoebe, who participated in the prayers said, “I was glad to be part of that Prophetic action. Indeed Kyambogo university needs Jesus. Thanks to those who made it,”
