Speak positive words based on God’s Word

There is power behind every confession - whether negative or positive.

By Pastor Tom Mugerwa

In the satanic world there is a demon (the deceptive spirit) which controls people’s tongues to utter evil, negative and deceitful confession, (2 Chr 18:18-21) (Isaiah 37:6-7). This demon can covenant with people in many ways.

When you confess negatively you become one with that demon for the devil looks after its word to fulfil it. If I pray for your child to get wisdom at school, impacing into him the spirit of wisdom and understanding and you go back – may be the child annoys you and you shout at him “you stupid fool.” This negative confession will bring back the spirit of stupidity to the child.

Paul tells us how to speak to one another: “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:18-19 (NIV)

Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) also says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

However much you pray, if you are still confessing negativity, the confession will kill that prayer. (Luke 1:5-19) and you need to be delivered from it.

Isaiah had to utter the word of God (prophesy) but he needed to be delivered from the covenant of evil utterance so that the Godly utterance can be fulfilled from his mouth.

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:5-8. (NIV)

You can also see what James tells us in James 3:8-12.

If your tongue received a cut from a witch doctor, you’re in a covenant with the spirit and it many be used to attract customers or members of the opposite set in fornication. When yo get saved remember to repent out of such and denounce this covenant so that it may not cause problems in your relationship with God.
