Several of South Africa’s most influential gospel ministers have arrived in Uganda for a mega Worship Summit happening in Seeta, Mukono under the theme ‘when the heart meets the art.’
The group, which includes Pastor Gugu Mbuku, Prophet Luthando Siyeni ,Unathi Mzekeli (former member of joyous celebration band,) Sibu Mbuku, Putuma Tiso and Lusanda Beja among others set to attend the ‘Psalm Life Worship Summit” hosted by Pastor Arthur Otim and Suzan Otim of Miracle Center Seeta starting Friday 24h August to Sunday 26th August.
Others expected at the summit are Uganda’s very own gospel musicians Beth Ssesanga and Pastor Justine Naboosa.
According to the ministry, the highlights of the summit will include a worship revival on Friday 24th from 6pm to 8pm, a worship summit on Saturday 25th from 9am to 5pm with teaching of line recording, music production and song writing and other aspects of the music ministry coupled with leadership skills.
Crowning the summit will be a worship fest including all the musicians on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm.

Pastor Gugu Mbuku
Founder and Senior Pastor of Word & Worship Life Centre in East London, SA.He has extensive experience in the professional music industry as producer, musical director, songwriter and keyboardist, having done worked alongside the likes of Pastor Benjamin Dube, The Joyous Celebration foundation, Mthunzi Namba, Ntokozo Mbambo, Swazi Dlamini, various gospel TV Productions and more.He is also an author with a recently published book, Psalm Life: When The Heart Meets The Art, which teaches about understanding worship with relation to not just the church, but also daily living, as well as its interrelation with music.
Unathi Mzekeli
A former member of Joyous Celebration, as a lead and choir vocalist, songwriter and vocal mentor. Recently featured on Benjamin Dube’s latest live recording. Performed in Africa, Europe and the US.He’s currently working on the release of his first album.
Sibu Mbuku
A worship leader and preacher, who has an album recorded in the US, produced by one of the biggest gospel producers, PJ Morgan. She came to the spotlight through the SA biggest gospel singing competition, I Want To Sing Gospel, being one of the Top 5, and has since performed in various parts of the world, in Africa, Europe and the US.
Putuma Tiso
Award winning gospel music recording artist, who’s musical career extends in various genres, having worked with jazz, gospel, pop and soul music greats like Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba, Judith Sephuma, Benjamin Dube, Spirit of Praise and many more. She’s recently released her live recorded gospel project, back to the Journey of Grace, with a hit song I Will Not Be Silent.
Lusanda Beja
Having been selected on the top 10 in the biggest SA gospel music competition, Lusanda has worked with various gospel greats and has traveled within SA and beyond borders in leading worship and prophetic ministry. He has 2 live recorded albums available on all digital stores.
