“My workmate who has never watched Heavens Gates could not stop talking about the duo. I have to watch ASAP,” said Mable Mutungi from Watoto Church after taking a glimpse at these photos on social media.
“One of my best scenes!” commented one other Dartivah Tivah. For many of you unaware of what is happening downtown, thank God we are here!
It turns out that, occasionally, the stars are just like us, especially when they need to refuel. No matter how cooperate it gets, church remains the perfect home.
Brian Mulondo, a popular radio and TV personality together with Kenneth Kimuli aka Pablo, a celebrated comedian are part of the ongoing Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames production that is still showing at Watoto Church Downtown everyday till Friday 15 April at 6pm.
The drama is based on an evangelical presentation of the Gospel, and presents the Biblical message that one must believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved and go to Heaven, or otherwise face eternal punishment in Hell.
The play takes the form of a series of skits in which various characters are “unexpectedly” killed, and then immediately find out whether they are destined for heaven or hell.
If they have refused to believe, they fail to be born again, they are consequently sent into eternal existence in Hell, represented by red lights and a literal Satan.
If they have received Jesus as Lord of their life he is their Savior and they are, lovingly, welcomed into Heaven, depicted by a white-robed Jesus, dazzling white lights and a chorus of angels.
For Brian and Pablo, the drama is set at a construction site and follows the two good friends play the role of Chris Onesmas and Ronnie respectively.
The two combine in an attention grabbing scene combined with comic moment yet delivering the powerful truth of life after death. One of them survives hell in the nick of time. Is it Brian or Pablo? You will answer that one!
The production begun Showing on 9th April,2016 and each day’s turn up has left the church out of space for more admissions. More than 1,800 people have given their lives to Christ in the first two days.
