KAMPALA – For the last few years, Christian achievers from diverse spheres of influence in and around Uganda have exhaustively shared how they excel in the market place while applying biblical principles during the Red Sofa Sessions in Uganda’s central business district.
This regular event hosted by Red Code Company, an umbrella body that supports Christian arts, youth ministries and the corporate outreach will on 11th November mark 2 years with ‘The Banquet.’
“The Banquet will aim at reminding Christians that we are called to be influencers for the kingdom in our places of work,” Organisers said in a statement.
Over time, the long list of Christian achievers that have graced the Red Sofa Sessions include Amos Wekesa, CEO of Great Lakes Safaris, Mr Ricky Papa Thompson the Co-founder of SafeBoda, Rev Canon Diana Nkesiga, Ms. Nsibirwa Suzan the Vision Group Marketing Director, musician Silver Kyagulanyi, Life coach and counselor Bahati Hilda.
Others are Pastor Sarah L. Sseggane, Pr Unia Kiima, Mr Peter Mukiibi, the Creative Director at Addmaya, former NTV Uganda and Radio City, Dave Dash, Pastor Michael Kyazze of Omega Healing Centre (OHC),Co-founder Seroma Christian High School Mrs. Margaret Sekidde and so many more.
CEO of Red Code Company Mr Shadrack Kuteesa in an interview with UG Christian News earlier this year explained that the Red Sofa Sessions are aimed at creating a platform for interaction and networking, “bringing together several distinguished and talented personalities who have excelled in different fields of work including; business, leadership, finance, pastoral ministry, music among others.”
Red Code Company is comprised of three initiatives; Red Arts supporting media and entertainment, Red Vibe for youth empowerment and the Red Sofa.
‘The Banquet’ will happen at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala hosted by Christian comedian Pablo. Musicians Sandra Suubi, Sanyu and Steve Keys will perform.
“On 28th October, 2016, Red Sofa had its first session at the Garden City rooftop. (Media personality) Ronnie Habasa the host of the night, our main speaker for the day was Silver Kyagulanyi and the guest artist for that day was the vocal powerhouse Sandra Suubi. Two years later, we have had nine (9) Red Sofa Sessions about marriage, family, finance and covered even more topics that affect an everyday Christian,” reads their media statement.
“Because we’re celebrating #RedSofaAt2 we decided, why not birth #TheBanquet18 so we keep doing life together as we have before. The Banquet is an event that will bring Christians in the market place to and end of year get together to celebrate life, network and have a great time with entertainment from the best Christian artists in the country who we shall be unveiling over time,” it adds.
