Throughout his life on earth, Jesus demonstrated a spirit of profound humility, Pastor Tom Mugerwa has said.
The vision bearer of Mutundwe Christian Fellowship urged Christians on 9 August, 2019 to put pride aside and pursue humility which he said is essential in ministry.
Pastor Mugerwa explained that Christ uncrowned Himself, lived and served the poor, needy, oppressed and marginalized, even though it was within His means to do otherwise.
“Christ would have associated with people only ranked highly in social hierarchy; Kings, queens, presidents and others, but He came down to the very least among all.” he said.
He urged believers to have a mind-sent which was in Christ Jesus.
Pastor Mugerw quoted Galatians 5:22 which says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…”
The preacher also explained that many Christians have lost spiritual battles in life because they fight with the wrong motives, and that others have no clue why they are in battle.
“A conqueror knows he has won the battle, even before he goes to the battle field. Develop that attitude. Why many of us lose the battle is because we go to war worried and filled with fear,” he said.
