Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) in South Africa landed in Uganda on Tuesday morning, with crowds at Entebbe Airport celebrating as he touched down.

“Ugandans are always jovial people, warm and cordial, and I am looking forward to having a great time with them in sharing the word of God,” the acclaimed prophet, fondly addressed as Major 1 or Papa remarked.

Prophet Bushiri is expected to speak at Miracle Valley, located along Namugongo road, Kampala starting  18 00 hours EAT. This gathering organised by lead pastor of Embassy of God Ministries church, Denis Amos Emojong will run till 14 December.

“The moment we landed we were welcomed by thousands that defied sleep just to make us feel home and this strengthened our resolve to preach the gospel,” Prophet Bushiri stated.  Security officers were seen pave way for the Prophet as masses proceeded forth in jubilation.

Pastor Emojong announced last Monday that Prophet Shepherd Bushiri was commanded by God to come to Uganda.

It was a divine instruction he received while in Australia, Pastor Emojong said.

“When God wants to do something new among His people, he will send a Prophet. And when you see a prophet in town, it simply means that God has got a message for that town – not only for the town, but the entire East African region. This is the first time the prophet of God is coming here this year.” he added.

Ugandan pastors, Brian Kagyezi, Franklin Mondo Mugisha, who like Pastor Denis Amos Emojong consider Mr Bushiri a spiritual father, were present as he landed.

Mr Bushiri, a wealthy preacher born in Malawi, has investments in oil and agriculture in countries including Malawi, South Africa and South Sudan among others.
