There is one gospel for all, no matter the culture or background. Have you ever had something wonderful happen to you, but you didn’t have anyone to share it with? Or, even if you could share it with family and friends, you desired to share your good news with many more than are within your circles. This is what happens when artists decide to put their testimonies of God’s grace through music.
And many of these songs cross not only national and ethnic boundaries, but move across musical genres as well. Paul views every gift given by the Spirit to the church as a gift given for the building up of others. When I send my testimony out through music, chances are it will cross boarders, one way or the other.
They were invited to minister at Gospel Shout Experience, a music event organised by Great Commission Church where Jamil Sekyanzi is lead pastor. This ministry has branches in London, Uganda, United States and soon coming to South Africa and other nations.
“All the way from Uganda, the land of milk and honey. A land of an anointing. A land of 77 D.O.Gs. A land of Museveni.” Such was the church administrator’s introduction of the singers.
With two shows, they were also joined by singers, Jenifer Mary, David Lumu and Pastor Noah Sematimba who arrived days earlier to one of the Church branches located in Croydon.
Popular for her single ‘Tewali mbeera’, Joy Tendo is most known in the diaspora for music that talks about the different situations that different people go through in the world.
In her testimony to believers later after the first show, Tendo, a mother of twins, took to social media to thank her prayer partners.
