The New Year can often bring a mixed bag of emotions and memories for many of us. Some may have just experienced the best year ever and look forward to an even greater one looming ahead. Others may have just trudged through one deep struggle after another.
The fresh calendar year brings desperate hope for things to be better, with an ache for the still-fresh wounds to slowly begin their process of healing.
Whether you’ve just walked through the greatest year of your life, or are incredibly glad to see this one finally over, one truth still rings clear amidst it all. You are not alone. Not ever.
As 31st December draws nigh, trust God for a new year of prosperity, joy, greatness, testimony, breakthrough, favor, dominion, success, promotion, and everlasting peace.
Forget about the sorrow, pain, depression, obstacle, agony and frustration you faced last year because everything is over this year. You are now in a new year to achieve greater success, not by power or might but by the Spirit of the Almighty God.
In case you are attending over night prayers at a local church, gather scripture that will empower you in faith as you pray. Just as beginning your day with prayer sets the course for the rest of the day and covers anything that may happen, the same is true of beginning the year.
You set the course for the entire year by what you do with those last and first few days of each new year. You can carry that even further to give God the first part of every day and the first day of every week.
Our God is a “with us” God. And though things and people around us shift and change, our God never changes.
