Pr Kimuli cautions against building faith on false foundation

One's foundation can have a direct impact on their destiny.

Pastor Michael Kimuli has urged that to effectively serve God, Christians have to separate from wrong foundations, and also seek the full revelation of who Jesus Christ is.

The vision bearer and senior pastor of Christian Discipleship Ministries International took to his social media page on Tuesday saying one’s walk of salvation and ministry often depends on the “revelation of Christ” that they have.

“It takes God to know that before you got saved, you were in a different kingdom, and you moved to a different one, so you must learn the customs and traditions that govern this side,” Pastor Kimuli said.

He noted that there are no shortcuts to maturity in Christ.

Pastor Kimuli explained that when Simon got the revelation of Christ, his name was changed to Peter and that Christ promised to build His church on the revelation that he had got.

“That is why many people try to take short cuts, because their revelation is lacking,” he stated, quoting Mathew 7:16-18 that in part warns of the ‘fruit’ of false prophets and teachers.

Pastor Michael Kimuli taught that scripture highlights Jesus’ interest in roots and foundations, and how you can tell one’s foundation by the fruits they bear.

“Your foundation or your root is your support system. It is unseen yet is the most important part of the tree,” he said.

“Spiritually, we have roots too that feed us, which is why Jesus said in Mathew 10:34, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

“This may not necessarily translate into physical separation, but cutting them off family roots and establishing a new Godly foundation.

“Beloved, it is time to deal with your foundations, because if you don’t, the voices making a claim on you will one day pull you down when you are up. What pulls people down is not up, it is down! If a root is not dealt with, it will keep supplying,” Pastor Michael Kimuli explained.
