Growing up in the modern world, we are taught that the physical world is all that is important. Yet, as Christians, we need to understand that what goes on in the spiritual realm directly affects the physical world.
This is according to Pastor Samuel Kasanka, the founder of Winning With Christ Ministries located in Kampala.
He used his sermon on Sunday to equip believers who have for a long time believed the spiritual realm is irrelevant or does not exist.
With this knowledge, he noted that many will understand the functioning of authority here on earth.
Pastor Kasanka emphasized that what you see happening in your physical world is as a result of what has already happened in the spiritual world.
He also observed that the state of your spirit man determines the state of your physical man.
“If anything will change in your life, it will begin with a change in the realm of the spirit,” he said.
“Everything happening to us, derives it origin from the matrix of the spirit. Death and life, come from the womb of the spirit. Everything that happens to us, has a spiritual blue print,” he said.
“The realm of the spirit cannot be visualized or viewed with the naked eyes, yet it is more real,” he said.
Pastor Kasanka also explained how one’s dream life is often synonymous with what is happening in the spiritual world.
Without understanding the true spiritual roots of the physical aspects of our lives, he said, we are missing vital information that can lead to healing, financial freedom among other things.
“My spirit must have it, before my flesh acquires it… In view of this, two philosophical theologians James Hope Moulton and George Milligan suggest the rendering: “Faith is the title deed of things hoped for,”” he said.
He quoted Hebrews 11:1 which says, ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’
“Through faith, we understand that the world was framed by the word of God, so that the things which we see, appear done from the things we do not see – what does not appear, sustains a legality more than what appears,” he said.
On spiritual blessings and Grace, the preacher quoted Ephesians 1:3 which says that blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”
“The grace of God is unmerited favor. It is the ability given by God, not on the merit of our possibilities. It comes from God on the account of mercy,” he said.
