Girl Power Ministries International founder, Jessica Kayanja and Bishop TD Jakes have taught dozens of Christians in Ghana how to maximize their potential, expand their network and develop faith amidst tides.
Pr Jessica left the country last week for The African Business and Leadership Summit in Accra, Ghana where she joined several preachers including Bishop of The Potter’s House, TD Jakes, Vice Chair
Famfa Oil (Nigeria) Dr Folorunso AlaKija, Gail Whitaker, CEO Whitaker & Associates LLC (USA) and Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Co Founder Transparency International (Nigeria) among others.
They were all scheduled to speak at a 3-day (1-3 Sept.) annual conference organised by Christian Action Faith Ministries (CAFM) popularly known as Action Chapel International (ACI), addressing issues on leadership development and also empowering the youth to be focused and dedicated in their services to God.
H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, President of Ghana, with wife, Rebecca Akufo Addo attended this conference.
Pr Jessica used the wisdom of Isaiah 64:8 to teach that if one is going through some kind of fire, it is a sign they are being prepared for the market place.
“Before the journey begins, clay must be totally immersed in water. But after you are immersed in water, at this stage you might be a bit slippery because you are still wet. Ans sometimes when the porter holds the clay, it might slip from his hands and fall. But do you know what? The potter knows that this clay has cost him. So He looks away from the other clay that is in the basin, and looks for the clay that has fallen on the ground. He picks it up and puts it together again and puts it back in the basin. You are not your own, you were brought with a price – the precious blood of Jesus. And there are people who thought that because you well, the porter would burn you out – He would lock you out, throw you out, but I’m here to tell them they were wrong, you were bought with a price.” She said.
“Out of your slippery state, the porter now begins to mold the clay. But there is one thing about this clay, it still has a lot of air particles. So when it is exposed to great temperature conditions, you will find that a clay object that was meant to be a saucer, has been turned into a tray, because it has been exposed to a lot of heat. Sometimes when it is exposed to a lot of cold, it shrinks – so there is a lot of instability. But the potter knows what he wants you to be.” She said.
“There is no clay ready to go into the market until it is put in the fire. Allow me address you today, if you are going through some kind of fire! I will tell you, you are getting ready for the market place. Something else, the greater the fire, the greater the object.” She said.
“The reason you have stayed this long in the fire is because you are not an ordinary clay object. The longer one is kept in the fire, the more unique – You are a royal priesthood, set apart for the anointing of God – I’m welcoming everyone who has stayed long in the fire, to the company of prophets, to the army of the Lord.” She said.
“Don’t run out of the Potter’s house just because you are in the fire. Let the Potter release you diplomatically when your buyer comes. Because you are now the biggest international brand. He is still working on you – the fire is a sign you are about to be released to the next level. When the fire is done; the Potter will release me to go into places that he was not able to release me; He will trust me with territory that he was not able to trust me with because, I have been through the fire.” She said.
“Do you see the resilience of the men and women of God He is using mighty all over the world – they have been through the fire. And the potter trusts that they will not miss represent Him by breaking down at the time they are meant to remain strong.” Pr Jessica said.
What are you willing to let go of in order to get to the next level, Bishop TD Jakes told the congregants.
“There has never been another you, there will never be another you, to thy own self be true. Leadership is defined by the crisis and the problems that you solve, that is what defines a leader. Whatever gift God has put inside of you is what you must account for and not what people expect from you.” He added
Bishop T.D Jakes said “Whether we are pastors or business leaders, we exist only because of other people in the community that we seek to serve.”
