Two weeks back, the Law enforcement officer in photo experienced a very serious disappointment that left him with no hope but thoughts of taking his own life and that of his significant other.
He narrated his story to Christians that had gathered at Ntinda based Church Praise Cathedral, revealing that on Monday (27th Feb 2017) , he went to his command center to sign up for the gun he takes along to the station he guards every evening.
“Instead of going to the place I was meant to go and guard, I found my self going back to the place I was likely to face more disappointments.” He said.
The police officer said that his relationship with the girlfriend was mired in conflict following arguments they had failed to settle for a while.
Feeling cheated, the officer said that his plan was to eliminate the life of his girlfriend and latter take his own too.
He said he struggled with the dark and disappointing moment for a while but was able to return to his senses soon after.
“I survived being imprisoned because I was going to reach there and first thing was to kill. That is what I had on my heart. But later I withdrew and said, I am causing problems to my deployment officers. I thought a lot of things.” He narrated.
He brought back the weapon to the deployment officer and told him that he was in an unstable state of mind for work that evening.
“We had a meeting at the station and they talked to me. I was thinking of two things, killing her and committing suicide.”
“Let me go rest and come back tomorrow,” He told his commanding officer.
“I had some little money on my account. I went, withdrew it and used it all on beer.” He said.
The officer was however convicted to come to church Sunday, where on seeing the pastor immediately came forward and asked to be prayed for and be led to Christ.
He testified thanking God for self control. He was prayed for and anointed with oil for a fresh start.
Several believers later reached out in their pockets to give the officer finances to help him get back on his feet.
