Pastor Samuel Kasanka of Winning with Christ Ministries International says there is so much power in the Word of God that when it is declared in faith, it transforms adverse circumstances into blessings.
In fact, Pastor Kasanka explains, declaring God’s Word over your life and family can bring about physical healing, something the preacher says he witnessed firsthand.
“They called me to pray for a man on the 26th of December. The man had serious cancer, and according to the doctors, he was 24 hours away from dying. The cancerous cells were multiplying. He was under palliative care. They were giving him Morphine every now and then. Half of this man’s body was dead. The feet had become black, and on the head were boils,” Pastor Samuel Kasanka revealed during the ‘Rescue Hour’ prayer service at the Centre of Revival Church in Kampala.
“Doctors had already spoken that in 24 hours, the man would be dead. They were bringing in all his friends to see him for the final time. Here comes a preacher, I was even wearing shorts. We entered the cancer institute in Nakasero. When I looked at the man, the aura of death had covered him. Then I read out a scripture, Isaiah 49:24-25,” he continued.
The scripture reads: ‘Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.’
After reading the scripture, Pastor Kasanka says he began to pray.
“The man was bed ridden, but I was only looking for an ‘amen’ from him, because once the Word of God can find a hook in your spirit, then it can carry you from where you have been downtrodden,” he said.
“Whether you have hit rock bottom. If the Word can find a landing point, then a miracle will automatically happen. The man begun to say, ‘amen.’ Then I said, you shall not die. He said, ‘amen.’ Then he began to smile. I said the Lord reigns. I laid hands upon him, and I rebuked the cancer,” Pastor Kasanka continued.
“The next day, when the doctors expected death, for the first time in 3 weeks, the man took himself in the bathroom. When the Word of God comes, there is power for change. One Word will change your circumstances, one Word will reverse the curse. One Word, will cause a turn around,” he said.
Pastor Kasanka said that after 2 days, “the man was walking out,” leaving doctors baffled at his recovery.
“The man who was 50 % dead, now is 100 % alive. They expected him to go out in a coffin, but he went out driving. There is power in the word of God. Within 2 weeks, the man went back to be tested, all the traces of cancer were lost. Today, he is alive, with his family. One word from God can change your story,” he said.
