Uganda Christian University Mukono (UCU) has banned non-Anglicans from worshiping at the campus.

“We call upon non-Anglican worshipers to respect us as we do respect their faiths,’’ UCU Vice Chancellor, Rev Can Dr John Ssenyonyi declared on Tuesday during the University community hour.

He urged that the institution is founded on the Anglican faith and values which need to be given space and protected from interference by other religious faiths.

Rev Can Ssenyonyi said all non-Anglicans are welcome to the university, but specified that in regard to worship, they will have to do it from their respective places of worship of their faiths outside the university.

UCU was founded in 1997 by the Anglican Church of Uganda from its premier theological seminary/college Bishop Tucker Theological College, which was established in 1913 and named after the pioneer missionary Bishop Alfred Robert Tucker.

What do Christians Think?

Thomas Takan If they are targeting non-Christians I will support them but if it is targeted at the born-again fraternity then we will have to cast out the spirit of the antichrist from him.

Keysha Maurynn Budeyo IUIU makes non Muslim vail how come no one complains, and in catholic schs every one goes for mass and its compulsory

Martin Lwabidongo I really hate political correctness since you never see the true picture of the issue . However , you wouldn’t complain if it was a Moslem school banning other faiths in the campus and when a Christian says in the school on Jesus Christ is the only one to be worshippers focus you begin to look for loopholes .
Fact remains everyone is entitled to there belief however your belief shouldn’t be enforced on others in the same environment , if the school is a Christian school don’t take your child if your a Moslem to force the school to have a mosque on the campus
” when you go to Rome behave like the Romans” otherwise things will be difficult for you.
