The Gospel Music Association has announced the nominees for the 49th annual GMA Dove Awards, to be presented October 16 in Nashville, Tennessee – USA.
 
Writer and producer Colby Wedgeworth lead the Awards with eight nominations, while artist Tauren Wells received seven nominations, including song of the year and new artist of the year.
 
Zach Williams scooped six nominations, while Cory Asbury, Tasha Cobbs Leonard and TobyMac walked away with five nominations each.
 
In the artist of the year category, Williams and Leonard are nominated along with Hillsong UNITED, MercyMe and Needtobreathe. The 2018 Dove Awards will be taped to air on Trinity Broadcasting Network on Oct. 21.
