I shall open my mouth and let these words flow out of me to the church in the United States of America. You either believe God at such a time or you play common sense and suffer for your unbelief!
God commands Joshua on how to take over Jericho by simply acting on words that military strategists and common sense would call nothing but idiosyncratic, putting lives of thousands at risk. But Joshua believed God and got victory. God called Gideon to deliver Israel from the oppression of the foreign armies. Gideon summoned 32,000 soldiers to go and fight, little did he Know that deliverance was not in his numbers, common sense or what the wise said, but in God. God reduced Gideon’s army to a mere 300 men from 32,000. Why? No flesh should glory in the presence of God Almighty (1 Corinthians 1:29.) Faith has to rise! “And the Lord said unto Gideon, the people that are with thee are too many for me to give the midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, mine own hand hath saved me”. (Judges 7:2.) Gideon’s army reduced by over 99% and He still listens to God who gave Him victory.
Well, some of our preachers today would miss the God of Gideon. We are used to being life coaches and using every human wisdom, so God’s strategy of overcoming the Midianites would be called political garbage and a hankering for votes and putting lives of many at risk. Where is the faith? Should I go on and mention Daniel who shut down mouths of lions or Samson who single handedly destroyed a thousand men with a Jaw-bone of an ass? Should I mention David a teenage boy who killed a bear and a lion with his little hands, or when he used a sling, and disobeyed all seasoned military strategists on defeating Goliath and marched in the name of the Lord to take down, this shadow of a man who wasn’t circumcised but for 40 days he had been defying the army of the living God? The Isarelites called it war and only David disagreed that we don’t fight while hiding in caves each time Goliath come up. Time would fail me to tell of Deborah, Jephtah, Samuel and of the prophets who through faith subdued Kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. All they did simply because they had FAITH IN GOD.
Now, President Trump like presidents all over shut down houses of worship and, in faith we obeyed our rulers. He comes again and declares that if people believe that abortion clinics, liquor stores etc are essential to be opened, then it is high time the wrong of closing houses of worship was corrected by accepting the church is essential. Satan does not believe the church is essential! He calls on all to open up the houses of worship for whoever. And some reaction from some preachers? “Political gains from the faith people is what Trump is seeking!” They are choosing to listen to scientists and common sense and they in fear are calling it wisdom. Yes it is wisdom but carnal.
When churches were closed, no one shouted politics, when Trump opens, they shout “politics”. Heheh, its FEAR! Politics or no politics, where is your faith? This behavior is not new. We always claim to have faith in God but our unbelief always comes and proves us otherwise. God told them to walk and possess the land, they said, He had some ulterior motive and it was to kill all of them in the desert. He heard their murmurings and declared that He would do to them according to how they spoke about His intention of delivering them. The Journey that was meant to last 40 days took them 40 years, and all of age died in the desert as they had thought of God. The church has been praying that Government allows her doors to be open for whoever. Then God answers and Trump tells you to open up the church and in your unbelief you cannot even accept the answers to the prayers you have been making!! You still want to find out what scientists and your common sense says and you call it wisdom. Yes, carnal wisdom which brings death.
You are too used to playing safe that when God calls you to step out of the boat, you must confirm with men!! Who bewitched you? I know! You have listened to men tell you how to build a church, how to grow one, how to increase numbers, how to be relevant and all this fear filled garbage. Now, you are waiting for the tickling of your ears. Sorry, not today. You want to find out whether 6ft apart works or whether masks work or whether both work or whether which works or which to use? This is called unbelief and do not even deny it.
For years you have prayed for revival and seeing God move. How are you going to see God when your heart is full of human garbage? How can you see God move when your mind is focused on human ways to move? How can God comfort you when you find comfort in human wisdom? Are you mocking God? Let Joshua and Caleb rise and stand to be counted even if they stand against the majority. A different spirit is what God is looking for. Men with a different spirit that shall believe we prayed for churches to open and God answered our prayers!
