Award winning Nigerian gospel artiste, Ada Ehi set Kenya ablaze with the fire of the Holy Ghost on Sunday when she ministered at a concert aimed at praying for peaceful presidential elections in this country set for 18th August.
The Tukuza Festival (peace concert) was held at the Arboretum Ground, Kenya and it gathered thousands of Christians and gospel artists who have since this year begun advocated for graceful balloting and smooth transition of power to the next administration Kenyans will choose.
The singer upon landing in Kenya had a brief media tour to several media houses. Speaking to DJ Mo and Grace Ekirapa of gospel show, CrossOver101 that airs on NTV (Kenya), Ada expressed her joy and excitement to the viewers sharing part of her testimony at the same time.
Ada said she has been influenced of the Holy Spirit to author songs like, I Over come, Only You Jesus (which is fast becoming a favorite with worship leaders globally); I Testify (Jesus You Are Able), Bobo Me, Cheta, Just to mention a few.
Election Update
According to reports, the 2017 General Election is the most contested in Kenya’s history. There are over 50,000 aspirants vying for the elective posts of president, senator, governor, members of parliament, members of county assembly and woman representatives.
While President Uhuru Kenyatta (Jubilee Party) and Raila Odinga (National Super Alliance/ODM) are the Presidential candidates to watch, there are other aspirants who are hoping to unseat the incumbent.
At least 80 percent of Kenya’s population is made up of people aged 35 and below. More than half of the 19 million registered voters in Kenya are considered youth, their participation in the August 8 general elections will be crucial and might determine who wins the presidency.
Ada’s visit to Uganda
Ada will be coming to Uganda for the first time before the end of the year, her management confirmed.
During an interview with UG Christian News, an official from Ada’s management, Steve Phronesis said that her concert has been set for 16th September 2017.
