Olivia Ziwa has been in the media industry for over 10 years now. You might have seen her host ‘Mission 3:16’ or ‘Can Men Cook’, all of which air on NBS television.
Mission 3:16 is an all-round Christian entertainment program that has transformed its audience through gospel music and positive discussions relevant to the Christian faith.
In 2014, she won the ‘Best Gospel Show’ accolade for Mission 3:16 in the Radio & TV Awards and later in 2015; Olivia was announced as the Hit Awards TV personality of the year.
“It was very exciting and humbling. It is passion that keeps me going; but knowing that people recognise and appreciate what I do is even more rewarding. And I am so thankful to God for his favour and all the opportunities,” she said in one recent interview with The Observer’s Johnson Grace Maganja.
Before joining NBS, Olivia worked with TOP TV where she hosted a teen’s show called ‘Top Teens’ for five years and later Flash Magazine.
She broke the good news to her audience on social media today, expressing her gratitude to the CEO NBS Television Mr.Kin Kariisa.
The same station also recognized Bahati Remmy , the journalist who had been arrested while on duty at the residence of FDC presidential candidate Kizza Besigye on 2nd March, 2016.
“I have been awarded for being the most daring reporter, best person of the week (as of 7th April, 2016) and NBS TV personality in other media. I have also won a cash prize, and a dinner voucher for two.
I won this because of the power of a story well told and we’ll listened too,” Bahati Remmy stated.
