We must understand that being in the world, but not of it, is necessary if we are to be a light to those who are in spiritual darkness, Pastor Justine Nabbosa told dozens of women that gathered at the Worship House – Nansana for her ‘Next Girl Champion’ gathering on Saturday.
She stressed that despite resistance, Christians must fully walk in God’s plan for their lives, and live in such a way that those outside the faith see their good deeds and manner of life and know that there is something “different” about them.
Satan, Justine radically spoke out, does not want you to walk into your destiny!
For hours, the ‘Oli Katonda’ hit singer led the group in prayer, calling upon each woman that could speak in tongues to join her in intersession for those in bondage, failing relationships, struggling finances and marriages among other issues.
“If you do not know how to pray, lift up your hands and repeatedly call upon the name of Jesus,” she maintained.
“You will give birth to that which God ordained you to have, you will become who God said you will become,” Justine proclaimed upon the congregation.
“Enough is enough! The bible says; while everyone slept, the enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away. While we slept, there are seeds the enemy planted among us. You started out well, but you are now into fornication, prostitution, theft – what you are today is now what you wanted to become. There is a path that God laid out for you and today you are being set free out of bondage.” she cried out.
Social media was buzzing as those who followed the meeting online commented with hope, and stressed how inspired they were to bring the light of Christ into a dark world.
The conference was graced by Pr Wilson Bugembe, Pr Cindy Kiganda, Mesach Semakula, Betty Nakibuuka Senyonjo, Spirit FM’s Lady Bezo among others.
In his speech, Mesach Semakula whose wife daily gathers with believers at Worship House, told women not to rush in decision making explaining that this has caused many a lot of trouble.
Materialism, Mesach noted, has led you into a lot of trouble.
He also warned ladies against bitterness. Semakula recounted the ordeal he went through upon becoming a father at 20 years, and how God led him through reconciling with those he hurt.
Develop a relationship with God, Worship leader Betty Nakibuuka Senyonjo said on her part.
“Through a relationship, we can hear when He speaks, and discern his voice from all the rest. God can guide us towards the right people in life, that can marry us and that we can stay with for life. We marry once and commit to it for life,” she said.
“God can speak, he knows the hearts of those we do not know. The bible says when one blind man leads another, they fall into the trap. Let is follow God for he sees and knows what our destiny is,” Nakibuuka said.
The church came together in unity to pray for Uganda to be a nation of faith.
At the end of the meeting, multitudes of believers left the grounds full of unity, faith, and hope for the future.
