When the Muslim tries to put all things together to express what he/she understands the Qur’an to be saying about Christ doctrinally, the result is quite different from what the Christian understands the New Testament to be saying.
Christ is seen to be a Prophet and Envoy of God of “surpassing greatness” (according to one Muslim writer), but only a man and nothing more.
As a performer of exceptional miracles, he was rescued by God from an untimely end, was raised up to heaven, and (according to certain traditions) He is not the Savior of the world, and is certainly not God, or “the Son of God”.
The Endless Love of Jesus Ministries has shared a testimony of Padina, one former Muslim turned Christian in Iran.
The Muslim Woman gave Jesus one week to prove himself before ending her life.
Narrating the experience, She said that as a Child, she started to recite the daily prayers, before she could go to school, she had to recite the Koran. Most of all, she hated Christians,”
“I became very happy when I had about Christians being persecuted. They always told us that if we killed a Christian, we had a one way ticket to heaven. I worked very hard to follow every rule of Islam,” she further narrated her story to The Endless Love of Jesus Ministries.
“If I thought that I had not washed correctly, I would stop in the middle of my prayer, wash correctly and start all over gain. This would happen ten times in my prayer sessions. I became very depressed and suicidal. I felt to distant from Allah.”
Right when she held out the poison to take her life and that of her mother who has told her that,” If you are taking your life, we are doing this together.”, God intervened through a preacher on TV.
“The lord has a special message for you, tonight, if you are hopeless, if you are oppressed, if you are planning to commit suicide, the Lord says, “Stop”, he has an open future for you. If you are planning to kill your self, stop and call me,” the televangelist said
He sick mother picked up the phone to call the preacher and they spoke for half an hour. The young lady was still determined to take her life that night.
She saw her mother praying, she saw her doing the salvation prayer and became furious.
“Why in the last second of your life did you do this? Now you are going to hell. Jesus can do nothing. Jesus is nothing. I will not blaspheme Muhammad by speaking to this infidel (referring to the pastor), ” She told her mother
She was however, by the grace of God able to pick up the phone to speak to the minister to God. Right there, she spoke to the minister with an attitude of anger, repeatedly saying that all she wanted to do was to kill her self.
“You said it your self, Allah has done nothing for you. Give Jesus just one chance. you can always kill your self next week,” the preacher stated.
“When he gave me this challenge, I thought, “This is the best way I can serve Allah,” This one last time before I commit suicide,” she said
The next morning, God did something miraculous for her mother, one that was beyond explanation even for the doctors.
