President Yoweri Museveni has congratulated siblings Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira who won the first edition of East Africa’s Got Talent show.
In a tweet on Sunday, President Museveni said “I am told they are very good singers. I congratulate them. ”
The duo walked home with a US$50,000 (sh184m) grand prize after receiving majority of the public vote during a televised show finale that happened at Catholic University auditorium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The competition included Comedic dance group, Dance Alliance Network (DNA) and Jehovah Shalom Acappella, among other contestants from the East African region.
“My grandchildren have told me about our talented bazukulu Esther and Ezekiel, who have won an East African Talent competition this evening. I am told they are very good singers. I congratulate them,” the President tweeted.
