Joyce Meyer Ministries issued an official statement on Wednesday saying that more than 5000 patients in Uganda received free medical treatment during their medical outreach program organised in the northern region of the country.
“During our 2019 short-term medical/dental trip to Uganda, our team was able to treat 5,975 patients,” the statement read.
During the outreach, the Ministry organisation popular for sharing Christ through daily TV shows, podcasts, devotionals, bible study and conference events, helped many of the sick and hurting who would otherwise go without the treatment they need.
This happened July 11-21, 2019 in Gulu district, an area once ravaged by war, now experiencing restoration. The medical outreach program was organised in partnership with Watoto Church.
The team set up a general medical/dental clinic and treated the patients’ needs as were presented.
“We also pray with all of our patients’ and give them an opportunity to receive Christ,” they revealed earlier in a release.
This was the 85th medical missions trip and 4th trip to Uganda.
