KYALYA

Maureen Faith Kyalya Walube was the only female aspirant in the recently concluded presidential race.

She is the founder of African Restoration Party, a movement she says advocates for the reunification of all African States in the search for cultural social, economic, political association.

She is one of several political figures in the country you will find quoting the bible or taking thoughts with reference to biblical verdict while addressing masses.

She took to social media yesterday, thanking her friends for the love and support rendered during the 2016 elections where she received  40,598 votes (0.44 %) of the total ballot. It is on the same platform that Kyalya spoke of her dream to see a united Uganda in a united Africa.

“My dream is a United Uganda in a United Africa and no matter what you feel about your African sister or brother, father or mother, until you get to a level of accommodating them in your life, you can never be accommodated yourself,” she wrote.

Emphasizing that everything we face in life  happens with acknowledgement from God, Kyalya said that, “ Truth is we all have weaknesses but God is not a time waster, there is no way he could have wasted space to allow any of us to be born and live to date without reason or purpose,”

“If only you can love your selves as much as I love you, just may be that negative energy can be converted to positive energy to the benefit of Uganda and Africa,” she added on to say.

She at the same time drew attention to folk who post negative material on social media in criticism. She attributed such acts to lack of knowledge or understanding of a given point of view.

“My only worry is that face book is an international open space and when we post extremely abusive posts about ourselves and leaders, we actually affect our own international credibility and encourage the world to judge us with stigma,” she further stated.
