What’s the primary driving force in the kingdom of God?
It’s called love!
The reason why God does anything is love.
In any place and life where God’s love is welcome, there will always be victory because God’s love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:8
“Love Never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away”
Where spiritual gifts and knowledge have failed, love will win.
1 Corinthians 13:13
“And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
Why is love the greatest of the three? Because faith and hope are ineffective or can’t work without love.
Galatians 5:6
“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”
Every time you find yourself in a situation where all the principles you are applying are not working, examine your love walk.
God heals because He loves you so much that He doesn’t want to see you sick! He saves because he loves you too much that He doesn’t want you to perish!
Love is the reason He displays His power and glory!
The primary commandment from the beginning of creation has been love, the foundation of God’s kingdom.
1 John 3:11
“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one…”
Paul referred to it as the law of Christ..
Galatians 6:2
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ”
Love God and love man is the summation of all the teachings in the bible.
On the contrary, the kingdom of darkness rides on hate!
Rev 12:12
“……. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
Satan came down here having great wrath and that’s what drive him.
Contrast with Jesus who came down because of love.
John defines living in darkness as walking in hate.
1 John 2:9,11.
“He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”
What powers the kingdom of darkness is hate! It’s impossible to walk and live in victory when we give hatred a place in our hearts. Why? Because hatred is of the devil and it aligns you with the kingdom of darkness.
It was Love (Jesus-Light) that overcame Hatred (Satan-Darkness) on the cross.
1 John 14:30
“I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]”
For you to operate effectively as a child of the light, make sure there’s no darkness in you. Ask the Holy Spirit to remove every hindrance to the flow of God’s love in your life!
Rom 5:5
“….For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”
Walk in love, stand in love and live in love and darkness will give way to you in all places you go.
Love=God=God’s Kingdom never fails!
