Founder and President of Lighthouse Television, Dr. Robert Nichols has urged Christians to break away from their comfort zone and step out in faith to do evangelism, adding that there is still a group of people hungry for God’s word.
“The greatest thing that can happens is when people get hungry for God’s word,” Dr. Robert Nichols said. “When you start reading God’s word, it starts moving things in your life.”
Dr. Robert Nichols was addressing believers at Calvary Cathedral International – USA on Sunday.
In 2017, Dr. Robert Nichols revealed during Lighthouse TV’s 20th anniversary celebrations at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala that the Christian Channel is not after making financial gains in Uganda but broadcasting the gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis.
“We have invested in Uganda because we believe in her till this very day. I could tell you all the challenges we have been through in the years, but when your faith is in God, when you realize that “I don’t have much but God has everything,” all things are possible to them that believe,” he said that time.
Dr. Robert Nichols told believers at Calvary Cathedral International to let Jesus into their boats, as Peter did in Luke 5.
Having Jesus in the boat changed Peter into a fisher of men. That “boat”, Dr. Robert Nichols said, represented Peter’s vocation and livelihood.
‘Never be afraid to let Jesus use your boat. Never be afraid to let Jesus use your prayer, your finances, your witness. It is not in vain. Anything you do in the name of Jesus isn’t in vain,” he emphasized.
“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” he said.
“When Peter let Jesus us his boat, he let everything open in his life. Jesus wants to reach people out of your boat. He wants to reach people out of your voice and influence,”
“Whether people want to hear the word of God or not, the only answer to the world in which we live is the Bible,” he emphasized.
