KAMPALA – Kansanga Miracle Centre on Thursday launched a new faith-based television channel at a thanksgiving ceremony attended by several Born-again Church leaders in the country.
Rest Television (Channel 53), seeks to reach and influence the world by bringing Jesus Christ into homes, workplaces, prisons, schools among other places.
Through the TV Channel, Kansanga Miracle Centre founder and lead Pastor, Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi said the nation will receive access to effective, quality and balanced programming.
“This is another milestone in the Kingdom of God in this country,” Chief guest at the grand launch, Pastor Robert Kayanja said.
The lead Pastor of Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral said the air waves are now being dominated by God’s people, an indicator that the Holy Spirit is ushering in a new season.
“Television goes behind the curtains. It crosses and goes through the Embassies. People at night in the bars, motels, when they are about to commit suicide, they can tune on the television and hear the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Kayanja said in his speech.
The Channel 44 TV CEO challenged listeners to believe God against all odds.
“God’s greatest need is for someone to believe Him. If you can believe Him, He will do wonders with you… If you believe God, you will do the impossible. God is willing to work with you,” Pastor Kayanja said.
“The invisible chains that have been binding Africa, in 2019 they are breaking. The sign that the freedom has arrived is the 77 Days of Glory. It is the revival we are seeing. It is Channel 53. Africa, for the first time, we are about to beam the true gospel of miracles, signs and wonders to the rest of the world,” he added.
Pr Kayanja offered $10,000 towards the new TV Channel.
“I believe in broadcasting the gospel of Jesus Christ,” he said, citing several existing Christian channels in Uganda.
Guests at the launch included Pr Michael Kimuli, Pr David Bweyinda, Pr Imelda K Namutebi, Pr Irene Manjeri, Pr Charles Kasibante, Pr Joy Kihuguru, Pastor Braz Bakka, USA based Rev. Jerome A. Barber, the Senior Pastor of Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple among others.
