Ugandan gospel musician and former politician Judith Babirye is celebrating two major milestones this month.

The 46-year-old announced Wednesday that she had successfully obtained a master’s degree in Immigration Studies, and assured her fans she has plans to use it to empower communities in Canada where she relocated years back.

At the same time, Judith Babirye confirmed the release of several songs off her new album. These include ‘Enjegere Zikutuka’, ‘Ndi Kumavivi’, ‘Obaddewo Yesu’, ‘Erinnya Eddungi’ among others.

“Thank you dear fans for supporting and loving me, because of you, I am still standing and growing stronger by God’s grace,” he said.

Judith Babirye relocated to Canada earlier after a huge storm leading to divorce hit her second marriage in 2019. Later in 2022, Judith took to social media and repented of her actions and acknowledged her mistakes.

Several stakeholders, including Apostle John Bunjo and his wife Sarah Bunjo of Christian Restoration Ministries International urged Ugandans to forgive Judith Babirye, and “receive her back as a sister.”

The apostles challenged believers to respond to the scandal surrounding the Buikwe District Woman Member of Parliament as Jesus would.

“I know for sure that Judith will come out of the mess and became a message to her audience. God is not done with Judith, he still has a lot He expects from her,” Apostle John Bunjo said in January 2022.

“I know many are going to throw stones at me, but one thing I want us to know is that Judith is a daughter of the kingdom despite her challenges. As Christians in Uganda and abroad, we know how Judith transformed the worship experience in our nation and abroad. There is no church in Uganda which doesn’t use Judith’s songs [during] worship services everyday. Let’s us forgive Judith and receive her back as a sister, What would Jesus do?,” the apostle continued.
