Preparations for the grand celebration of Inner-Man Ministries’ 25th anniversary scheduled for 26th July, 2019 are in high gear.
On Tuesday, the Ministry overseer, Apostle Steven Senfuma and his wife Favor made a call to believers across the country to join the celebration.
“Since the establishment of the ministry, it has not been an easy journey but by Grace, we are fully established,” the Ministry leaders said in a statement posted online.
Inner-Man Ministries includes United Christian Centre, Kasubi, and an Inner-Man Child Support Ministry.
Who is Apostle Steven Senfuma
Even as much as he had a speech impediment as a child, Apostle Steven Senfuma determined from a tender age to embark on evangelism and discipleship of the body of Christ despite the challenges he faced including a battle with drugs, and later losing a loved one in a fatal car crush early 2006.
As a child, his parents could only afford to educate him up to primary three amidst great deprivation and he had to pay for his school fees from primary three to primary six out of wages he earned from dancing at weddings, training in boxing and kungfu and providing casual labor in people’s farms.
Things one would consider as necessities to a child like, books, pencils, school shoes, school uniform and a good meal were considered a privilege to him.
He wore his first pair of shoes when he was 16 and even these were handed down from a relative and worn. Having grown up in a family of twenty three siblings, there was never enough food, clothing, school fees and other basics to go around.
Since he was a child, his desire was to study and become a person who would mentor others. Time came when he could no longer earn enough money out of dancing at weddings and causal labor to pay his school fees. Senfuma held on even after losing three brothers to HIV/AIDS.
By the grace of God, he gave his life to Christ, received in-depth revelation of the Spirit of God, and began to see transformation.
He was able to start Inner-Man Ministry.
“After two years in 1996 the Lord blessed us and we bought a place where we established United Christian Centre Church. The place was a wet land, we first constructed a semipermanent structure walled and roofed with Iron sheets. Due to the fact that the place was swampy, we encountered great challenges in laying the church foundation and also constructing the Toilet. Truly God has brought us from far,” he says.
“From 1996, God enabled us to increase on the number of conferences that we organize, we started by organizing them in Churches, but now some are organized in sports grounds like in Jinja and Kampala. In a year we now organize between 230-240 conferences in different churches and regions,” he adds.
Apostle Steven Senfuma believes media is a weapon which Christians can use to send the message of Christ to this current generation. Innerman FM was set up to address the voices of those who desire to have the Innerman Ministry wherever they are.
“As a church we have managed to open a school, Inner man Pre and Primary School. Partnering with Compassion International, we have a project helping over 350 (Three Hundred Fifty) needy children and women. It is called Omuntu w’omunda child development centre. The promise that God gave me that many people will discover their calling through my Teachings, I have seen it come to pass, many ministers have been able to discover the call upon their lives and have gone ahead to serve the lord in that line,” he says.
My joy is to see one growing in knowing their creator and discovering their right call. As a church, we stand with such a one in ministry and they still remain as royal spiritual children to me. God has been faithful to me; I don’t know how long I’ve got to live this life. But for all the days I have lived, I give him the glory. I pray that his grace will sustain me and enable me have a good end. Job 42; 12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning,” he says.
