HIT Awards 2015 Artist of the Year Robinsan Hairwe is set to launch his Album on May 6th 2017.
The Dancehall/Reggae music singer will be the very first gospel artist to launch a 10-track album this year.
He has told UG Christian News during an interview that it has been a season of witnessing God move him from one level to another.
“Why I chose this particular title is because it has been that season where I have seen God move me from one level to another, not only in my music but every area of my life.” He said. “I prayed and the spirit of God led me to this name, ‘Next Level’.”
When he started out as a singer, Robinsan, real name, Tumuhairwe Robert was not signed to any record Label – this happened much later in his career.
In 2006, he released ‘Tusabe’, which became a hit song on all radios in Uganda and hit the number 1 spot on Holy spins radio in the USA
He also performed on riddims/instrumentals of artists like Papa San who is one of the icons that inspire him to date.
Somewhere during his musical journey, Robinsan says he grew discouraged and disappointed when he failed to make some returns for his investment. He left church for night clubs, did drugs that he almost lost his life. Thankfully, God’s grace drew him back as he grew to know Christ.
In 2012 Robinsan was nominated as Best Dancehall Artiste of the year by the Olive gospel music awards Uganda.
He is the C.E.O and founder of ‘Vision Plug’, an organization that helps young and up coming gospel musicians in Uganda.
The yet-to-be launched album includes songs; Simple life, Jangu Nkulage, I know, I know remix, Tuli Kumulamwa, Always on time, In control, Nayimba, Counting My Blessings and Ntukula.
“It’s a concert of its kind. I have prayed and thought God for this day and I believe the power of God is going to move like never before. Me and my band are ready to give out the best.” He told this website, emphasizing that on this particular concert, God is going to show himself to people in a unique way.
