128 people gave their lived to Christ following a gospel crusade organized by born-again members in the UPDF Army, Police Force and Prisons Service of Uganda.
The joint crusade happened at Luzira Prisons Force Barracks on 6th May, and several of the new converts were later baptized.
Ivan Aggrey Kajuba, a Christian author, evangelist and soldier in the UPDF who was present at the crusade, noted that the day’s preachers included The Commandant, ACP Mugabi Michael of the Uganda Police Force.
In a similar development, the spirit-filled soldiers held another crusade at River of Life Ministry, Katwe.
They included Brig Gen. David Wakalo, Maj. John Katusabe, Capt. Ivan Aggrey and Cpl. Oworyanawe Emmanuel
Media Publicist at Military Christian Fellowship – Uganda, Mr Gad Timothy Angonu described the event as “powerful” noting “The devil is being attacked 3 dimensionally.”
Kajuba earlier urged Church ministers not to limit God’s work to the pulpit saying “it goes far beyond.”
“In Uganda, I have seen churches split as a result of struggle to preach on the pulpit, yet there are many other ministries we can do,”
“We have seen God using His servants to glorify Him at their work place. For example, Joseph in Egypt ministered through his work and as a result his ministry sustained his family for 400 years,”
According to Aggrey, often times, believers do not remember that each one has a unique place and role in the Church of Christ.
“Just like earthly soldiers are mandated by the earthly constitution, a believer is empowered by the heavenly constitution – which is the word of God. As long as we are living within our ‘constitutional’ rights and performing our ‘constitutional duties,’ we have support form the heavenly government to destroy and uproot the enemy’s camp,”
