Gospel dancehall-ragga artist Zabuli Jalia went emotional as she wholeheartedly addressed the youth that gathered at Praise Cathedral- Ntinda, Kampala on Sunday.
The 24-year-old, who was invited to minister through music, amazed the Church pastors when she additionally shared her testimony, something that charged the atmosphere with an anointing that drew a hunger for God among the congregation.
She told the youth to keep working on enhancing their relationship with God, adding that they must express their faithfulness through action.
“Someone has been in the situation you are in today, and even worse,” she said. “There is no fighter that has no story. No body has a story without trials and tribulations in it. Some of you have relationships that are irrelevant, that are costing your relationship with God. I would rather stand and be judged by God, than be judged by the world. Let me be wrong before the world, but walk in righteousness before God.”
Zabuli told the youth that God is tired of non committal relationships.
“I know what it means to walk a journey where you do not know where you are going yet, perceived as ‘all complete’ before the eyes of many. Feeling so broken, so sad, so desperate…nevertheless there is a certain God who can fill every gap. Regardless of how deep the hole you’re in might be, God is able to pull you out. All you need to tell him is that here I am Jesus. That is enough to cause the entire heaven to celebrate in honor and, prepare a seat for you.” She said.
“I have a question; what do we lose when we serve the Lord with all our heart? I know there is a lot of sorrow among men, Poverty, fornication is not ending with our generation. But we can decide to be that generation stirred up to ignite radical change and transformation today.” She said.
The professional teacher born to a Christian mother and Moslem father lived a chaotic childhood even before he made 18.
Her family was always at war over a number of issues including which religion the children should practice. This led Zabuli to living life independently which resulted into a very destructive start of life.
The singer told the youth that if God could humble her and, call her back to living with purpose, He is just as ready to do the same for any that lay it all before Him. Many renewed their commitment to walking right with Christ.
Zabuli went past the time she had been designated to, however, Pr Edith Kamese, wife to Church founder Godfrey Kamese told Zabuli to minister even further more.
The Pastors appreciated the singer during the closing remarks, promising to invite her together with several other ministers of the day that included Pr Brian Lubega, Holy Keane, Reborn Status, The Spring Gents, Revelation GC among others.
