Edwin Lutaaya, a gospel music singer with award winning group New Chapter Africa, was on Sunday photographed inside a swimming pool with East African socialite Zari Hassan. It is reported that the photos were taken from Soultic Spa in Pretoria, South Africa.
Lutaaya, who is related to fallen tycoon Ivan Ssemwanga (RIP), says he was only comforting Zari over the loss of her ex-husband.
“I was coming from Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Pretoria on Sunday when I, together with my family, went to Soultic Spa. This is where Zari found us. We went swimming as I comforted her.” Lutaaya said during an interview with one state aided news daily on Monday.
Lutaaya says that when they left the Spa, he went home to Greenstone in Johannesburg. Zari too went to her home in Proteria with the Children, Lutaaya said.
The photos the two had at the spa quickly went viral online when Zari shared them. Several tabloids and blogs, alleged that Lutaaya had his hand close to Zari’s body, a move that on Monday evoked the socialite’s lover, Diamond Platnumz, who accused her openly of infidelity.
Zari quickly shared more photos of the spa, explaining the circumstances of the date. She noted that the mysterious man is an uncle to his sons, slamming the spread of false information about her.
Diamond Platnumz photo didn’t last long on instagram as it was deleted after a short while. Zari did the same hours later.
Diamond on Tuesday posted a video of Zari, their son, Nilan and him having a nice time in South Africa, a clear indicator that they had moved on past their conflict.
According to the information available from New Chapter Africa, Edwin Lutaaya is born to James and Cathy lutaaya from Kayunga and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in commercial art and Designing from Nkumba University. He owns MEL international primary school in south Africa and is Born Again Christian.
The group is popularly known for their songs like: Bingi, Nzitowa, Nabibuuse, Maama, among others. Other group members are Robinson Jomo and Antonio Amooti.
